Membership Classes, Voting Rights and Management Committee Eligibility
Members, Guests and Visitors attending the Annual General Meeting should note the following information relating to voting rights and committee eligibility.
Complimentary Membership
Complimentary members are QSES volunteer members who have completed the mandatory probation period and have been issued with a membership number and make application for membership to the association, or a previous member of QSES who has greater than 5 years of continuous service with the QSES.
A complimentary member has voting rights for any motions put forward during a general meeting, excluding those relating to election of the management committee.
A complimentary member has no voting rights in relation to the election of the management committee.
A complimentary member is not eligible to be on the management committee.
Ordinary Membership
Ordinary members are any complimentary member who also voluntarily pays the prescribed annual fee as set by the management committee.
An ordinary member has voting rights for any motions put forward during a general meeting, excluding those relating to election of the management committee.
Members who have been an ordinary member and paid the prescribed annual fee for two (2) consecutive years have voting rights in relation to the election of the management committee at a general meeting.
Ordinary members are eligible to be nominated for election to a position on the management committee.
Associate Members
Associate members are any organisation, company or individual seeking membership of the association and which the management committee deems to be fit and proper to hold membership of the association.
An associate member has voting rights for any motions put forward during a general meeting, exlcuding those relating to election of the management committee.
An associate member has no voting rights in relation to the election of the management committee.
An associate member is not eligible to be on the management committee.
Honorary Life Members
Honorary life membership is bestowed on any person for services rendered as approved by the management committee in accordance with the conditions for life membership as set out in the relevant policy document defined for that purpose.
There are no membership limitations for honorary life members.
